are meaningfully different?

A collection of high-scoring candidates can occupy similar or different parts of the modeled solution landscape. Overlap Lab measures that structure. Candidate diversity, search exploration and panel composition are potential application connections to evaluate—not functions automatically inferred for every downstream product.

## Geometry is not
domain validation.

Different assignments can be equivalent under symmetry. Different protein sequences need not have different useful biological effects. The similarity measure and downstream acceptance must match the application.
