THE PRODUCT, IN PRACTICE

Answer the count questions.
Without retaining the whole stream.

When an application needs to ask how often values occur or how many distinct values it has seen, retaining a full history may be unnecessary or too costly. sketchstream maintains compact statistical summaries for supported streams and exposes the error conditions that accompany those estimates. It is a counting component, not a substitute for every event-storage or analytical function.

BUILT FOR
Streaming analytics, telemetry and data-engineering teams with frequency or cardinality workloads.
CHALLENGES → PRODUCT RESPONSE

The problem you face.
What sketchstream changes.

01

The stream is much larger than the memory budget

Keeping all elements solely to answer counting questions can be an inefficient fit for the task.

sketchstream uses a compact summary of the supported stream to answer frequency and distinct-count questions without storing the full event history.

02

An estimate needs an error contract

A number presented without its uncertainty can be mistaken for an exact count.

The product’s estimates are evaluated with the error assumptions and checks applicable to the selected counting operation.

03

A fast counter can still be wrong in use

The team needs to compare estimated counts with known values on a representative qualification workload.

The supplied checking path allows the relevant estimates and bounds to be assessed against exact counts where those are retained for evaluation.

WHAT YOU GET

A defined capability.
A useful output.

The product scope below describes the capability and outputs to confirm for your release. Custom integration, operated delivery and additional engineering are separately agreed.

01

Frequency estimation

Answers to supported “how often” queries over the stream.

02

Distinct-count estimation

A compact estimate of the number of distinct observed values.

03

Bounded-memory summaries

The stream representation used by the supported estimation workflow.

04

Error-aware checking

The associated bound and reference-count checks for qualification.

AVAILABLE NOW

One product.
Three ways to work.

sketchstream is fully available with CLI, MCP and headless access. Use the interface that fits your terminal, your agents or your automated workflow.

01 / CLI

For your terminal.

Run the product from a terminal or script, alongside the tools your team already uses.

Get CLI access
02 / MCP

For your agents.

Connect MCP-compatible clients and agents to the product’s exposed capabilities.

Get MCP access
03 / HEADLESS

For your workflows.

Operate without a graphical interface in unattended, scheduled or pipeline-driven work.

Set up headless access

Product-specific inputs, hardware requirements and result guarantees still apply. An access mode does not change your license or deployment scope.

EXAMPLE CUSTOMER WORKFLOW

Measure a large telemetry stream

A team needs counts and cardinality summaries without turning the entire stream into an in-memory dataset.

Illustrative use of the supported scope, not a customer case study or a measured result.
  1. 01

Define the supported stream and required counting queries.

  2. 02

Process the stream within the summary-memory budget.

  3. 03

Compare qualification estimates with exact reference counts and accepted error conditions.

IN YOUR WORKFLOW

Agree the useful outcome.

Streaming analytics, telemetry and data-engineering teams with frequency or cardinality workloads.

What you bring
The stream, query types, required error settings and available memory.
What a useful evaluation measures
  • Frequency and cardinality error under stated assumptions
  • Throughput for the full stream-processing path
  • Memory consumed by the summaries
Where it fits
Use the selected product in a qualified customer environment, or agree a defined implementation with SpinForge. A hosted or managed service is quoted for its actual operating responsibilities; it is not automatically included with software access.
QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY

A clear scope.
No hidden assumptions.

How can we use sketchstream?

CLI, MCP and headless access are all available. Run from a terminal or script, connect an MCP-compatible client, or use the product without a graphical interface. Choose the mode during onboarding and receive its setup instructions. Runtime requirements and supported operations remain product-specific.

What is the important product boundary?

Frequency and distinct-count estimates have different statistical properties. They are not interchangeable exact counts. The reported 2.05-billion-element run and 5,000-key check belong to the supplied campaign, not a universal throughput guarantee.

What comes with the selected license?

The agreed sketchstream release, its supported interfaces and outputs, the applicable checks and the support stated in your order. The plan defines users, workflow, environment and capacity. Source-code transfer, unrestricted redistribution and bespoke engineering are not automatically included.

Can SpinForge implement or operate it for us?

Request a scoped engineering or operated-service proposal. It identifies what our team delivers, where the workload runs, infrastructure costs, acceptance requirements and ongoing support. Your software subscription alone does not activate a hosted runtime.

What evidence is available for review?

P44 / Company-reported. The supplied campaign processed 2.05 billion elements on an A10G. The reported frequency check compared 5,000 keys with exact counts; none undercounted and all stayed within the stated bound. That is not a validation of every distinct-count estimate.

These descriptions come from the supplied product and campaign material. Website checks are not an independent rerun of the engine. Qualification identifies the actual release, workload and available artifacts.

Activate this capability inside a qualified checked decisions workflow. Compatible methods and required shared checking are included once within that workflow; the product remains independently purchasable.

Capacity, release, environment, result contract and operating responsibilities are specified before activation. Choosing an additional method is not permission to add an unrelated workload or unqualified deployment.
