Privacy Policy
Clear about what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are and what this covers
SpinForge, a Garmo Labs company, is provided by Garmo Labs, LLC, a California limited liability company (“SpinForge”, “Garmo Labs”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through spin-forge.com (the “website”), through enquiries and other communications with us, and when we sell, license and support our products and services.
It does not cover data that our customers process with SpinForge software in their own environments. That processing is controlled by the customer and governed by the customer’s agreement with us; see Customer data in licensed software.

Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, work email, company, the outcome, delivery preference, offering and access mode you select (if any) and your message.
- Email and other communications: what you choose to send us, including contact details and any attachments.
- Orders, licensing and support: business contact and billing details, the products and plans you license, order and contract records, and support correspondence.
- Payments: payment is made as set out in your order. The website does not collect payment card details.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical information that every web request contains so it can deliver pages and protect the website from abuse: IP address, requested address, date and time, browser and device type (user agent), referring page and an approximate location derived from the IP address. This information appears in short-term operational and security logs. When you submit the contact form, your IP address is also used, without being stored by us, to limit repeated submissions.
The website itself sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. If Cloudflare detects suspicious traffic, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people and automated traffic apart.
Information created on your device
Product overviews, briefs and other downloads offered on the website are generated in your browser. They are not sent to us unless you choose to send them.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss products, pricing, evaluations and services you ask about.
- To prepare, enter into and perform agreements, including licensing, delivery, billing and support.
- To operate, maintain and secure the website and our systems, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with law, enforce our terms, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- To send you information about our products only if you ask for it or the law otherwise permits it. You can opt out at any time.
We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where these laws apply, we rely on: steps you ask for before entering into a contract, and performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, running our business and securing the website, balanced against your rights; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time.
How we share information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf under contract: Cloudflare, Inc. (website hosting, security and email routing) and Google LLC (Google Workspace email). These providers may only use the information to provide their services to us.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers, accountants and auditors, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our business or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and have not done so in the past 12 months.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries and correspondence: for as long as needed to respond and to maintain the business relationship, and generally no longer than three years after our last contact unless a longer period is needed for an agreement or a legal obligation.
- Order, contract and billing records: for the life of the relationship and as long afterward as tax, accounting and legal obligations require.
- Website request logs: kept by our hosting provider for short periods for operation and security.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Security
We protect information with measures that fit its sensitivity. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access limited to people who need it, and providers that maintain recognized security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please do not send confidential models, customer records or other sensitive data in an initial enquiry.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and their UK and Swiss equivalents.
Your privacy rights
Whatever privacy laws apply to you, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing. Email patrick@garmolabs.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA), applies to our handling of your information, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access and receive a copy of it; to correct and delete it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information and do not collect sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of or limit.
The categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months are below. We collect it from you, from your device when you visit the website, and from the organizations you work for. We respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civ. Code § 1798.83) entitles you to ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing; we do not.
Residents of other U.S. states
Depending on where you live (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Utah or Virginia), you may have rights to confirm whether we process your personal data, and to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale or profiling. We do not engage in targeted advertising, sale or profiling. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the word “Appeal”; we will answer within the time the law requires and tell you how to contact your state attorney general if you disagree.
EEA, UK and Switzerland
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We respond within one month, which the law allows us to extend in some cases.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of sale and sharing. Because the website does not track visitors, no additional action is taken for Do Not Track signals.
Children
The website and our products are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Customer data in licensed software
SpinForge software is deployed and run in environments chosen by our customers. Models, inputs, results and other data that a customer processes with the software belong to the customer and are governed by the customer’s agreement with us. If we process personal data on a customer’s behalf, for example during support or engineering services, we do so as a service provider or processor under that agreement. A data processing addendum is available on request.
